One of my favorite things about summer is shopping for bathing suits! I love love love going to the beach or even sitting by the pool, any excuse to be out side in the beautiful weather in a super cute bathing suit. So I decided to share some of my favorites from this season with you guys!
The first store I love to buy bathing suits from is Target. They have super cute and trendy suits that you don’t have to pay a fortune for. I like that at Target you have the freedom to mix and match all of their suits so I normally just buy a cute pair of black bottoms and then a few tops to go with them.
This year I bought these super cute ruffled bottoms. They are the Women’s Wave Ruffle Cheeky Bikini Bottoms from Shade & Shore $17.99. These bottoms are super cute and flattering on. I did go a size up so that they wouldn’t be super cheeky and they are perfect! They also come in a variety of colors so if you find a super cute top but aren’t in love with the matching bottoms you can always buy these in a color to match!
To go with my ruffled bottoms I picked up two tops this year. The first one being the Crochet High Neck Bikini Top from Xhilaration $22.99. Both crochet and high neck tops are super in this season so I was so excited to see this style at Target. This top is one of my favorites from this season! The material is amazing and feels like you spent way more then $20 on it. I also like that it has a little bit of padding so that the top has a little bit more structure and doesn’t cling in unwanted places. I though at first the back and all the strings would make it difficult to put on and wear but they stay in place pretty well and make me love the top even more.
The last piece I picked up this season is the Mesh Inset Triangle Bikini Top from Xhilaration $19.99. Bra clasp bathing suit tops are my all time favorite! I love the way they fit and they seem to stay together better then some others. When I saw this on the rack at Target I immediately fell in love (even though my mom told me it looked like a bra). I love the mesh detail on the sides and the flower crochet on the actual triangles. This has been my go to top so far this summer!
Another place I love to buy bathing suits at is American Eagle. They have some super trendy pieces and always run great deals through out the season!
This year I bought the Aerie Crop Bikini top and the matching bottoms in this beautiful pastel salmon color called Stargaze $35. I love the material of this suit, its super soft and light weight but doesn’t cling in any weird places! I also love love love the detail of the embroidery on the sides of the top, it just adds a little pop and really makes the suit stand out I think. Unfortunately this bathing suit is no longer available but they AE does have some similar ones that are just as cute here!
Another swimsuit that has been a favorite of mine is the Triangl Ollie bathing suit in blue $79+$20 shipping. I really like how this bathing suit fits and the neoprene material is very nice. I had been a huge fan of this brand after this purchase but I am a little disappointed with their customer service. After wearing this suit for a year the stitching completely came out on the clasp which I though was ridiculous for paying almost $100. When I contacted customer service they said they couldn’t do anything for me because it had been over a year since purchase. Which I understand companies have to out a time limit on returns and exchanges. But if you are going to spend that much money on a suit you expect it to last more then one season (or three months of actually wearing it) So I’m not sure I will be purchasing more from this brand. But I wanted to add this in here because it is a great suit and if you are willing to spend that much money and only be able to wear it one season you should check them out.
The next bathing suit is actually the MUXILOVE Bright Mesh Wet Suit Neoprene Bikini from Amazon. This suit is only $19.99 and a complete dupe for a Triangl bathing suit Delilah- Fiore Nero. I normally don’t like to buy pieces that are dupes like this but after my experience with Triangl I couldn’t justify spending the money. Now this suit is very nice (better then I expected) but their are some differences. The pattern on this one isn’t exact to the Triangl one but that wasn’t a big deal to me because I still think it is super cute! Also the material is a little thinner then the neoprene that Triangl uses but it is super great quality. Overall I think if you want a neoprene suit but don’t have the $100+ to spend I would definitely check this one out! I would be careful sizing though, I sized up and it fits pretty good. The bottoms are perfect but the top is a little big which isn’t a huge deal since you can tighten the straps!
I hope the post inspired you to go out and buy some super cute suits for the summer! Stayed tuned for Lyn’s version of this post on Saturday, and let me know where your favorite places to shop for cute bathing suits are!
