Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo Progressive Night Peel Diary

Welcome to my diary while using the Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo Progressive Night Peel! I wanted to give you guys my thoughts on this product but also an in-depth look at how my skin actually looked and felt every step of the way.

First lets talk about the product it self and what it claims to do. This is a dual phase product, meaning there are two different liquid night peels in one. Phase 1 is to help reduce the appearance of pores, and improve skin’s texture and radiance. While phase 2 works to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. This product claims to be good for all skin types and is formulated with out parabens, sulfates and phthalates.

Now on to how to use the product! This is a 28 day regimen so you are supposed to use side one for 14 days straight and then use side 2 for the next 14 days! You can repeat this 28 day process as many times as you would like, and considering after the first 28 days mine is still pretty full I would say the product is going to last you awhile. On the bottle it does say to use 4 pumps but I found this to be way to much product for my skin so I usually used 2. Because this is a chemical exfoliant/peel product it is important to remember to use at least SPF 15 on your skin during the day!

Now on to my results!

First up Side 1

Day 1: I didn’t see much of a difference after the first use but I wasn’t expecting to, I do wan to talk about my first impression of side 1. Now when you first pump it out it has this very strong perfume scent. My skin isn’t usually sensitive to fragrance so it didn’t bother me, but if you are someone who has a sensitivity to products with smells I would be careful using this product. The scent does linger for a little while on the skin but again this didn’t bother me. The one thing that kind of threw me off was that it left my skin feeling extremely sticky when first applied. But after I let it sink in to my skin the sticky feeling went away for the most part but my skin did feel a tad tight. After completing the rest of my skin care though my skin felt normal.

Day 5: After 5 days into side one I was already seeing results. My skin felt softer in most places but there were still a few places where I could feel and see texture. My nose especially, this is really my problem area and where I have the most texture. I was a tad disappointed that I didn’t see any results here but I did see results on my cheeks and chin. I have texture in these areas as well (but not as bad as my nose) and I could tell that while I could still feel it when I applied makeup in these areas it was as noticeable anymore! I counted this as a huge win! I also want to touch briefly on the fact that this product up to this point hadn’t broken my skin out yet!

Day 10: This is the point when I started to notice the most results and when my skin started to see some breakouts. I began to see some small bumps appear on my forehead, Im still not sure if it was the product that caused it or something I was exposed to on vacation but I didn’t want to mention it here. Although I was seeing some problems with my forehead my cheeks at this point were completely smooth! I mean no texture what so ever, I couldn’t feel it or see it when applying makeup. As for the texture on my nose and chin it has gotten at little softer but is definitely still noticeable!

Day 14: The final day of this liquid came up super quickly but I was happy to be moving on to the second phase. My overall thoughts on this part of the treatment are pretty positive. It did help smooth out most of my skin although the texture on my nose and chin didn’t go away completely. I still don’t love how sticky it makes my face feel at first but this is definitely just a personal thing and it was fine once I completed the rest of my skincare routine. As for the pore refining aspect of this product I didn’t really see much action. My pores on my nose and checks are still pretty noticeable but I never truly believe when products say they can reduce pores. I will say this product did leave my skin looking very radiant and glowy so I think on that front it 100% works.

On to Side 2

Day 1: Again I didn’t see any difference after the first use but I do want to talk about my 1st impression on day 1! So the first thing you notice about this side is that the liquid is this really intense blue color. At first I was a little weirded out by this but once you rub the product into your skin the color completely disappears! As for the smell it was the same as side 1 very perfume like but again this didn’t bother me (or my skin).  Unlike the first side of this product this liquid didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky at all which I appreciated!

Day 5: I didn’t see as many results with this side as I did with side 1, mostly because I don’t have a ton of wrinkles or fine lines yet. But I did notice that my skin tone started to look more even. This side is also supposed to help with reducing the appearance of dark spots so I think that is why it helped to even out my skin a little.

Day 10: At this point on the process I did begin to see some tightening results of the skin around my eyes! At first I didn’t think anything of it because I don’t really have full on wrinkles there. But when I was applying foundation and concealer I began to notice that it was creasing less and less in that area. Also my skin continued to even out and I think color wise this is the best that it has looked in awhile!

Day 14: My final opinion on this side of the product is a tad vague mostly because I really only saw real results in the evening of my skin tone. As for this product reducing fine lines and wrinkles I can’t say for certainty that it did this but it did help tighten my skin a tad around my eyes!

Over all I think this product has some good qualities! I really liked how soft my cheeks were and how it basically eliminated the texture there (I wish it had done the same on my nose and chin). I also really liked how even my skin looked after using side 2 so that was definitely a plus! Do I think it is completely worth the high price tag probably not, I’ll definitely continue to use what is left of mine but I won’t be repurchasing. But I do think if you are interested in this type of product it is definitely something to check out because although it didn’t do everything it claimed to it did make my skin look and feel amazing!
