In my search to find the best night treatment to help smooth and soothe my skin I came across the Herbivore Moon Fruit Super Fruit Night Treatment (say that ten times fast). As you guys know from my last night treatment post I have a lot of texture on my nose and checks and I have been searching for the perfect product to help in these areas. Now in my last post I liked the Lancome product but wasn’t wowed by it so of course I had to head back to Sephora to see what I could find!
Cue the Herbivore Moon Fruit popped out at me because I always go to that section in search of the Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist (and it is always sold out in my Sephora). I had never tried any of their products at this point but knew that they were made with all natural ingredients which really peaked my interest in this night treatment. I had previously tried treatments that were filled with chemicals and acids but never one that had organic ingredients as well. Now this product is mostly made from fruit enzymes and extracts but it does contain some hyaluronic acid.
Now lets talk a little but about the product itself and what it claims to do for your skin! According to the Sephora website this product is good for all skin types. It describes it as “A multitasking night treatment that feeds skin with super fruits, gently resurfaces with fruit enzymes, and hydrates with a blend of exotic butters and hyaluronic acid.” Which is pretty much everything my skin is needing at the moment. The most interesting thing about this product is the light purple color. This actually comes from one of its ingredients, indigo root powder, which is a natural anti-inflammatory and soothing to the skin.
I want to talk briefly about how I use this product. Now it is a night treatment so of course I use it at night, but sometimes I use this product just by itself and other nights I use it in conjunction with my normal skincare routine. The instructions included in the box mention that this should be the second step of your night time routine, after toner, and then you can follow with your any serums or moisturizers. Some nights this is exactly what I do! I’ll start off by toning my face with the Thayer’s Witch Hazel Rose Toner, followed by the Moon Fruit Night Treatment, then I’ll finish off my routine with the Glossier super pure and my moisturizer (which constantly changes depending on what my skin is doing). On other nights I’ll just do the first two steps of my routine, my toner and the treatment. These are usually the nights where I don’t feel that my skin needs as much product or moisture. This is totally a personal opinion and you should always do whats best for your skin!
Now onto my thoughts about this product!
Lets start off first with the question everyone is wondering did this actually help with the texture on my face? Honestly yes! I think this product definitely does what it claims to when it comes to uneven texture. After using the product for just a few days I already started to see results in the texture on my cheeks. My cheeks are incredibly smooth now and the texture is pretty much gone. As for my nose which is where my texture is really bad, its gotten a ton better! I wouldn’t say its completely gone but it is definitely less noticeable under my makeup. I hope that as I continue to use this product it will get even better! This is probably one of the best products I have ever used to treat uneven texture for my skin!
Another thing that I love about this product is how much it has cleared up my skin. Now it doesn’t claim to be a product targeted to clearing up blemishes but that is exactly what it did for my skin. I think it has a lot to do with the natural ingredients and the indigo root powder being a natural anti-inflammatory. Any time I had any blemishes any where on my skin I would use this product at night and the next morning the blemish or spot was pretty much gone!
I think as night treatments go this is probably the best one that I have ever tired and definitely worth the $58. I got more and better results from this product then other products that have been way more expensive (I’m looking at you Lancome). If you are someone who like products with natural ingredients because I know its not for everyone then I would 100% recommend this product. And another amazing thing is that all of Herbivore’s products are vegan and cruelty free! Let me know if you end up trying this product (or already have) in the comments and what your thoughts are!
