With December (and the holidays) right around the corner I finally sat down a made my beauty wishlist. Now pretty much everyone in my family knows how much I love makeup and anything beauty related, so thats usually what they get me for Christmas. Every year my mom has me put a list together of the things that I have had my eye on so that she can share it with the fam. The beauty industry is so saturated and for some it can be overwhelming so I know having this list definitely helps them out. But sometimes the best gifts are ones that I wouldn’t even think of for myself. I thought sharing my list with you guys would either inspire your own beauty wishlist or help you to pick out some gifts for your family and friends.
My wishlist is something that is constantly changing so its important that I pick things for this list that are important to me or that I really want. Now this can be extremely difficult because there are so many new products constantly being released so I have two ways that I like to narrow down my selection.
- I like to do a ton of research on certain products. Weather its reviews from my favorite beauty bloggers or reading about them in magazines I constantly look for a few different opinions on something.
- I try to go into my local store and see the product in person. If its a something that can easily be made into a sample I usually like to test it out that way first item.
Both of these techniques have really helped me recently narrow down the amount of makeup I have been buying and I hope it helps me this holiday season as well.
Onto the goods:
Hourglass Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Refillable Lipstick in I Want $34 is a long wearing satin finish lipstick. I’ve been kind of over the whole matte lipstick trend so I have been trying to find something that is long lasting and not going to make my lips feel any drier then they already do. I also love all things Hourglass so when I saw that these were a satin finish I couldn’t wait to try them. The color I chose is a beautiful medium rose, which is pretty standard for me I also tend to gravitate toward these colors. One thing I don’t love about this product is the price. I know Hourglass products do tend to be on the pricey end of the spectrum but for some reason I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on a $34 lipstick.
Viseart Eyeshadow Palette Natural Matte $80 has some of the most pigmented eye shadows I have ever swatched in my life. I have been coveting this eyeshadow palette for over a year now. I finally got to see it in person for the first time the other day in my local Sephora store and I immediately added it to my holiday wishlist. It is a pretty pricey palette (but definitely not the most expensive) and it comes with twelve versatile natural shades. The cool thing about this palette is that each shade can be used as for shading, highlighting, and defining eyes, brows, and countering the face.
Origins: Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst $27 is a product that I have been thinking about purchasing for awhile now. My skin gets so dry during the winter and I have been on the hunt for a really good mask to help restore some moisture. I have heard so many good things about this mask recently so I decided to put it on my wishlist and give it a try. The most appealing thing about this mask is that is has Japanese seaweed to repairs skin’s barrier to prevent future dehydration. Origins has so many amazing masks, I have used a few of their other ones but I have never tried any over night masks before. I’m hoping this will help nourish and hydrate my skin through out the cold months!
Giorgio Armani Beauty Ecstasy Shine Lipstick 602 Night Viper $38 is another pricey lip product that I have had my eye on for the last few months. I love balm like lip products to help hydrate the lips as well as give some nice color. As soon as I saw this shade on the Sephora website it immediately went onto my wishlist. Yet again the only problem with this product is the price. For some reason I have such a hard time justifying spending money on lip products. I might be because I normally buy the same color over and over again….but this one is completely out of my comfort zone so who knows maybe ill buy it during the Sephora $25 off $50 sale.
Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint $56 is another product that I have been coveting for awhile now. Every time I see someone rave about it it makes me want to buy it that much more. The only reason I hadn’t pulled the trigger yet is because I was trying to declutter and use up some of my foundations. Now that I have this is definitely getting added to my collection very soon. This is supposed to be super light weight on the skin but still achieve a medium to full coverage. I have really been loving light weight base products recently since my skin has been super dry and having some texture issues. Its also supposed to help smooth, firm and lift the complexion. Now the firming and lifting aren’t main concerns of mine just yet but the smoothing is something I am looking forward to. With the help of the Hyaluronic acid in this product I think it would be perfect for the winter time to help nourish and hydrate my skin.
Nudestix Nude(art)ist Box Creator’s Palette $59 is a another, surprise surprise, pricey lip product. Although this one seems a little bit more manageable considering you get six custom created lip shades. The formula is supposed to be super long-lasting but feel lightweight on the lips. Which sounds like my perfect lip product to be honest. The Nudestix have always intrigued me but I have never tried them out, so this set would be an amazing way to try out a bunch of shades. Normally in lip bundles there are always one to two that I would never wear but all of these shades seem super wearable for me, someone who is not adventures at all when it comes to her lip shades. I was also reading that these combine three formulas into one, a lip stain, a lip color and a lip liner. I am always a sucker for multi use products.
Briogeo Ultimate Hair Goals Best of Briogeo Kit $39 is definitely something I need in my life. My hair is always in need of some hydration and repair and this kit is full of products to help. It includes a full size Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Mask which is the main reason this is on my list. I color treat my hair so I am always looking for masks to help keep it healthy and this one has been on my watch list for awhile. I have heard some really good things about it and I definitely want to give it a try for myself. As an added bonus you get three travel size products in addiction to the mask. Including the Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo, which is always a good thing to have on hand to help exfoliate and keep the scalp healthy. You also get the Rosarco Milk™ Repairative Leave-In Conditioning Spray which is a favorite of mine, it leaves my hair feeling so soft and hydrated. Last but not least you get the Rosarco™ Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Crème which is a product I’ve never tried before but heat protectant is always important. Keeping my hair healthy is one of my top priorities so this kit would be perfect!
Bite Beauty Agave Kisses Set $20 is the last thing on my list (for now). Its a travel size set that includes the Agave lip balm, mask and exfoliator. The lip balm is already a product that I use and love so I was excited to see this set. I have wanted to try the two other products and this is a great way to do it. The formula is really amazing at hydrating the lips and is one of the only products that actually helps to soothe my chapped lips during the winter. Its definitely a product I need to stock up on!
So thats it for my beauty wishlist this holiday season (for now). I hope you guys found some inspiration from this list either for yourselves or for someone close to you. Let me know what products you guys have had your eye on for the holidays in the comments!
